Thank you for your interest in and support of the Green Bank Observatory!  We are working with stakeholders across multiple communities to ensure that the Observatory can continue to fulfill its unique mission of world-class astronomy and astrophysics research and student education.  As one of the largest and most flexible radio telescopes in the world, the Green Bank Telescope (GBT) is conducting cutting-edge science and developing state-of-the-art technology, and students of all ages in West Virginia, across the country, and around the world have been impacted by the educational programs and access to researchers and instrumentation on site at the Observatory.

The GBT is pushing astronomy forward into the future — from studying the origins of our Universe, conducting high-level tests of Einstein’s relativity with pulsars, discovering complex molecules in space, investigating the mysteries of dark matter, keeping an eye on potentially hazardous asteroids, to searching for life elsewhere, and much more.

Your donation will help supplement federal funding and keep the GBO operating as a science and education focused facility. Please use the button below, which will take you to our PayPal donation form. Donations are tax deductible and managed by the nonprofit West Virginia Alliance for STEM and the Arts.

We will regularly update donors on the status of the donations and their use. If you have any questions, please contact: go.greenbankobservatory@gmail.com
